If I replace my face
Imagining all the cities I would see
By now it makes sense
Chords are stressed
My copper is spent
Up all night
Just sit this one out
Past tense I still feel weight
Hanging over me
Spring colour on walls
Is the spring in my step
Rippled water
A plane bored over the lake hanging on
A fixed up message
These unwritten letters
Maybe it's me
Im over this faulty head
Scaling to the roof again
A further fleet I cannot stretch
But I look forward to it
I'm seeing rain
Slamming against
A raised ceiling
Left in a daze
This Atlanta group have a unique take on Americana, bridging queer cabaret culture of the 1920s and '30s with punchy contemporary rock. Bandcamp New & Notable May 28, 2019
Rising Philadelphia band balance oversized pop punk hooks with vivid, intimate lyrics, presenting a raw, honest vision of guitar music. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2022
Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
