As I unfold at home
I was too tied up at work
A television
Broadcasting
A drape holds back
The snow you drive in
If the drape could just hold back
The rest of the evening
Faint, overtake
faulty breaking
Static array of the windshield
It's no use
Taking this view in
My skewed vision
That I'm stuck with
In the morning
I watched crows swarming the front lawn
Early Saturday
In the morning
I couldn't leave the bed
Like a pillow beneath my head
I stayed in
This Atlanta group have a unique take on Americana, bridging queer cabaret culture of the 1920s and '30s with punchy contemporary rock. Bandcamp New & Notable May 28, 2019
Rising Philadelphia band balance oversized pop punk hooks with vivid, intimate lyrics, presenting a raw, honest vision of guitar music. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2022
Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf
